Search Miscellaneous Records Index
- This search needs some explanation. There are sets of records that have been transcribed by us that do not warrant their own search facility. Hence we have created an index of these records for you to search. When you find a record of interest and you would like to see the full text of the transcription then click on the link to the file which contains the full text. This will either open it or download it to your computer (depending on your browser). When you open the file you will be able to use the PDF file browse or search facility (probably started using Control+F from the keyboard) and then search for the name of the person to locate the full text of the record.
- Tip: Leave the location field empty unless you know exactly what you are looking for. Note that the location field is not necessarily the place where the person originates.
- Note: when you click to view the full text the file may download to your computer or open in your browser. It depends on how your browser is set up.
- Years(and dates where included) are of the record itself
- The wildcard (%) is applied by default to the right hand side of some search terms. To obtain more results, keep your search terms to a minimum e.g. to find all variations for Stephen, search for 'St' in the forename field.
- Tip: Click on the column headings to sort in ascending/descending order
